You could use a full spectrum light bulb in a lamp. You can get them anywhere.
African Violets are perfect, they do not need sun, or can get little sun, also peace plant, bamboo does well and is low maintenance. I have a “fig”tree that I have had for yrs and it is nice There are many plants, but only violets that flower, Some say they are hard to grow, but they really are not, you will be amazed at how easy and it is good for air quality as well especially if you have computers, etc. I have plants in almost all rooms now, and I just have to remember to water once in a while, I swear they thrive on neglect!
there are many plants that are easy to care for, need little light, and are hard to kill. look for large green leaves on the plants at any grocery store or nursery.
