I got this bright red grafted cactus today from Home Depot for $4. And this is the first time dealing with cactuses for me, so can you hand me a hand? I need to know the basics such as how much sunlight, water, temperature, how often to change the soil, what type of soil to use, etc… FYI: just in case you need this info – mine is a Ruby Ball Grafted Cactus. Thanks for your help.

Ask Home Depot, you shouldve asked when you bought it, or just google it. Then since cactuses are mainly in the desert, i’d put em in sand. and apparently they don’t need much water. i got all my cactuses from the Sahara Desert.
Cactus don’t need much, so don’t baby it. Retail stores sell cactus soil, which is sufficent for your little guy. Don’t water it, only if it’s really dry. I like the pencil trick, take a sharpened pencil and stick it in the dirt, if it comes out looking like it did, water, if it comes out wet, don’t. Full sun(@ least 6 hours)–you can put it by a window if you have to. They’re native to dry hot climates so remember, DON’T BABY IT. You’ll do fine
