I have planted tulips and crocus in my Minnesota North Shore flower bed. There is still snow on the ground so I don’t expect to see them soon. I am trying to figure out what to plant next so when the tulips stop blooming something else will bloom. Then what to plant to start blooming when the second wave is done blooming. Is there a website somewhere that can help with this? I am really new to the flower gardening. I am renting, so I can’t plant any bushes or trees and I like flowers a lot better than decorative greenery.

I recently had to “overhaul” my entire flower beds in the front yard. All of the landscaping was covered in winter grass and coco grass..it was INSANE…. If there were a contest, I would have won the best weeds from hell garden award….anyway…
I had been wanting to add a second layer of bricks and new mulch and stuff anyway…I worked my **** off for two days straight and redid the whole yard and it’s beautiful, but the COCO grass is coming back because apparently when I was shaving all the top layer of dirt and throwing it away, i didnt dig 50 feet down and get all the “NUTS” which the grass comes from….now, in one section of my beautiful garden it appears that the HORROR IS BACK! 7 BILLION SPROUTS OF COCO NUT GRASS ARE BACK…….OMG. WTH DO I DO?
I’m not having any luck in google search…..they say salt…..vinegar, etc….. Anyone know? Pleeeeeeeaseeeeee
Just exaggerating on the 50 feet down 7 million thing….lol….

my BF has a some leftover bricks in his back yard to when his neighborhood was a new development. would it look silly to line about 3 rows of them up to create a small flower bed in a back corner of his backyard. ive only seen them with rocks and the rocks are $2 a piece vs free and already in back yard.

not sure what to plant either -totally blind when it comes to this.

Thanks!
