I have a very nice and fruitful vegetable garden. It is growing so well that it is getting out of control. I was wondering if you can trim your vegetable garden without hurting the vegetables. Such as trimming the long leaves that don’t have anything flowering from them. We would like to be able to reach our vegtables without stepping on the other ones in there. Right now we have growing in there is: watermelon, pumpkins, green & yellow squash, tomatoes ( big beef & cherry), turnips, radishes.
Here’s the deal, I live in a town house, and I’m not allowed to plant a typical vegetable garden, so I want to do a pot garden, I did one last year, but it didn’t work very well. Any tips? Thanks!
My backyard has an inconvenient slope that directs water at my basement and is too steep to plant anything. On one side it currently has a 4′ lumber retaining wall which is rotting. I’d like to replace it all with a series of smaller masonry retaining walls to improve drainage and allow for a vegetable and herb garden.
Any idea on where to find resources to help me plan this venture out?
i have never done it before, but i would really like to start a vegetable/fruit garden. i live in southern missouri, is it too late to start one? and can you give me tips on how to keep it going?
I have limited space available, with rocky ledge under the dirt. I am looking at having to use RAISED BEDS for my vegetable garden next year. How would you suggest I accomplish this small feet?
If you could send diagrams – I’d appreciate it. Message me and I will give you an email address to send to!
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Becca
I can get pictures of the area I intend to use – if you are willing to help work me through it ((for free))… ~Rebecca
