The Green Thumb are Tamar and her shovel. They have been beautifying gardens in the Brighton/Brookline/Newton area since 2013.
A trained social scientist, hailing from Germany, Tamar came to the US in 2008. After giving birth to her second child, she was in desperate need of something creative and productive to do out of doors. And so it started.
After becoming a Certified Massachusetts Master Gardener, Tamar and her shovel started helping out friends in their gardens, and soon, the Green Thumb was born.
